The Buffalo News is hosting an upcoming Career Fest (Job Fair) on February 16th, 2010 from 9:00AM – 3:00PM at the Millennium Airport Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave. (next to the Walden Galleria Mall). This is a great opportunity for students and alumni to attend and meet with prospective employers. There will be 3 FREE Career Seminars at this event at 10:00AM, 12:00PM, and 2:00PM that all are welcome to attend. On Tuesday May 12th from 5-8pm Western New York AmeriCorps will be hosting a National Service “Job Fair” at the University of Buffalo’s Gateway Building in downtown Buffalo to fill somewhere between 300-700 service positions that will be made available this year.
Recovery Act funds are starting to come in and with that Americorps will be experiencing a significant growth as a whole.
